LIFT TRUCK SERIES PT06-950906 G20S-2, G25S-2, G30S-2 GC20S-2, GC25S-2, GC30S-2 SUBJECT: SPARK PLUG FOR HERCULES ENGINE This bulletin is being written as an addition to the Service Tech Bulletin dated April 04, 1996 addressing a warning of hotter burning plugs. The parts manuals show a part number 8N2236 spark plug as being used for all Hercules Engines in a DAEWOO application, this is not accurate. The 8N2236 spark plug is to be used in LPG or Dual Fuel Hercules engines only. DAEWOO is supplying an Autolite 306 plug or a Champion RJ8 plugs when part # 8N2236 is ordered. DAEWOO is now supplying a hotter burning plug which must be used in the gasoline Hercules engine applications, this new part number is D141267, which when ordered A Champion RJ-18-YC plug is shipped.” This plug must not be used in LPG or Dual Fuel applications!” Previously DAEWOO had shipped an Autolite 86 plug in place of this hotter burning plug. If dealership has any of the Autolite 86 please note that it is for Gasoline application only. On paper the Autolite 86 shows to be a cooler plug than the Autolite 306, In the Hercules Engine applications this is not the case. I.E. Autolite 306 is a standard tip plug whereas Autolite 86 is an extended ceramic tip resistor type plug. The air/fuel mixture of the Hercules engine makes the Autolite 86 burn hotter. Attached is the accurate spark plug gapping information for all spark plugs used in DAEWOO Hercules engine applications. Please disregard the gap information … (continued in the PDF) WARNING! D141267 (Champion RJ-18-YC) spark plugs have shipped in error for 8N2236 (Champion RJ-8) spark plugs. These parts have also been incorrectly included in tune-up kits. The D141267 Spark Plug must only be used in gasoline fuel applications, and have a much hotter heat range than the L.P. engine can tolerate. Serious engine damage could occur if used with an L.P. fuel equipped engine. Please check your parts inventory, and ensure that D141267 Spark Plugs are separated and only used on gasoline fueled engines. 8N2236 Spark Plugs can be reordered through Daewoo Parts.

The engine cylinder head has been redesigned and is not interchangeable with the previous design. a) Combustion chambers have been redesigned for fast burn and improved combustion. b) Intake and exhaust valve size has changed and also has a three-angle valve seat for improved flow. c) Intake valves now have replaceable guides.
